Prayer . . .
is a unique privilege provided for Christians to talk with God.
Through prayer, we can have an effect on people we have never met, locally or even around the world. Missionaries who come to our church tell us how much they rely on our prayer support.
The Bible says, "The prayer of a righteous man availeth much." Our church realizes the potential of prayer and wants every Christian to be involved.
Men's and Women's prayer groups meet each Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Our church has many opportunities to assist one another through the ministry of prayer. Every Wednesday evening, there are prayer groups from 8:00-8:30 p.m..
There is also a prayer chain that quickly dispatches urgent prayer requests for the church family by telephone. Another ministry that involves prayer is Prayer Partners.
Individuals choose a person with whom they would like to share their requests and meet regularly to pray. (September - May)
Pastor's Prayer Partners is another very important prayer ministry. During each a.m. service, these men meet in the pastor's office to pray for an effective message, as well as each aspect of the service. Pastor's Prayer Partners also commit to daily prayer for one of the members of the pastoral staff. What a support and encouragement to the pastors of our church!
