Marriage Matters

Marriage Matters…..it matters to husbands and wives, it matters to children, it matters to families, it matters to communities, it matters to a nation, and yes, the marriage between a man and a woman matters to God. It has often been said, the fate of a nation can be traced to the health of its marriages.

We at Independent Bible Church desire to see marriages that glorify God.  We all struggle at some time in our marriages, and a 50% divorce rate, even within our churches, is an alarming statistic.  Divorce has a devastating effect on our society, and our desire is to help all marriages become what God intended for each of us. Yes, marriage matters to us all.

Thus was born the “Marriage Matters Ministry”.  Our mission is to help strengthen all marriages; those that are good, and those that need help.
 

MARRIAGE  MATTERS   MINISTRY

Our goal is to provide opportunities for married couples to encourage another couple in their marriage relationship, while at the same time have their own marriage enriched.

Those couples desiring to become a part of the Marriage Matters Ministry Outreach Team should be church members or regular attendees who consider their marriage to be healthy and God honoring, that have a heart to serve and encourage other couples, and willing to share their life experiences and wisdom.

With an overall goal of strengthening our marriages, any married couple desiring to improve their marriage relationship with their spouse will have the opportunity to meet periodically with another married couple.  This will help to facilitate the building of a loving relationship of influence between the two couples, where God’s plan for a strong marriage can be modeled, discussed, and encouraged. 

In addition, weekend seminars and retreats focusing on marriage and family relationships are proactively promoted to assist couples in developing and maintaining strong, healthy marriages.
