Josh grew up in or around West Virginia, calling the Charleston area “home” for most of his grade school years. After moving to the Eastern Panhandle in the late summer of 2005, Josh and his family began attending IBC, joining the church as members a few months later. As he finished high school, Josh benefitted from the influence of IBC’s pastors and leaders, and after graduation he began attending Baptist Bible College (PA) in the fall of 2007. Having received his bachelor’s degree in Bible in 2010, he returned to serve with the church in the capacity of Middle School Coordinator, a position he filled until March 2012 when he accepted the role of Pastor of Student Ministries. While on staff at IBC, he has also completed a Master of Arts degree in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. Josh trusted in Jesus at a young age under the guidance of his godly parents. As he matured, he realized the importance of baptism; accordingly, he was baptized in July of 1999 at the age of nine. Since that time, Josh’s life has been a journey of growth and discipleship in learning to follow Jesus daily. In March of 2014 Josh was blessed to marry Joy and have her support and companionship for the journey. For the curious, Josh enjoys running, hiking, and playing guitar. He also appreciates a good book and spends as much time as he can reading.

Women’s Ministry Coordinator (Part Time)
Brenda has been the Coordinator of IBC's Women's Ministry since July 2017. Born and raised in Canada, she attended a small Bible-believing church in a cottage-country town in Ontario. There she, at a young age, gave her life to Jesus Christ and was baptized in a church member's swimming pool since her church didn't have a baptistry. In 1993, she graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Arts in Guidance and Counseling. This degree focused on nouthetic counseling and the Bible. Desiring to teach, she obtained from the University of Maryland a Master's Degree in Instructional Systems Development. She taught in private and public schools, but because her life had been so affected by IBC's classes, she felt led to turn her energies toward the church. Here at IBC, God showed her that God always wants to use His willing children, so she began what is today IBC's Mom's CAFE in 2009 and taught the Women of All Seasons Sunday School class. She is married to her better half of over twenty years, and homeschools their only son, KC. Their mission statement is Micah 6:8.
