Phillip grew up in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He was raised in a strong Christian home and he trusted in Christ at an early age. He served as an Assistant Pastor for four years at a Bible church in Greencastle, PA. He began serving at IBC in 2020 as the Pastor of Young Adult Ministries, and served as Associate Pastor-Teacher for the year of 2024. Following a two-and-a-half-year succession plan with Pastor Mark Johnson, Phillip was affirmed by the congregation to serve as Pastor-Teacher on November 24, 2024.

Phillip earned a Bachelor of Religious Education from Davis College (formerly Practical Bible College), a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) in Wake Forest, NC, and a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching from SEBTS.

Phillip married his wife Joanna in April 2020, and they are blessed with two girls, Molly and Emmaline. Phillip desires to be committed to preaching the Word of God faithfully and shepherding the flock of God lovingly at IBC. Phillip and Joanna enjoy reading, cooking, eating, hunting, painting, and playing with their cat Spurgeon.
